I know we’re technically in spring now, but the weather is still cold and if you’re at all like me, then you’re basically always freezing.
I like jeans as much as the next person, but I also really enjoy wearing skirts and dresses. I just find it more difficult to wear dresses in the winter, as you don’t tend to find many of them in the shops during the colder months.
A few months ago, I struck the jackpot when I came across this winter dress in Topshop. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it – it’s the perfect winter dress! The long sleeves are perfect for keeping me warm; and I think the rich velvet adds an extra wintery touch to it. The flower detailing is cute, and is quite Slavic chic (my second favourite look – after Dressing Danishly of course!).
Paired with thick black tights and boots; this winter dress is so easy to wear, and looks great for a day of shopping, or even for going out at night.
I recently wore this outfit when I met my friend for dinner and cocktails. The pop of gold from my Marc Jacobs bag adds a touch of sophistication, and before I left I added a bomber jacket for an extra layer of warmth!
This dress has quickly become one of my firm favourites in my wardrobe, despite it being a winter dress – if I’m ever unsure of what to wear, then it’s usually this that I end up in!
You can never have too many winter dresses, and I’m always on the lookout for more. If you’ve found the perfect piece that you think I should check out, just let me know!
